In their latest media release, the ATO have advised that people can claim donations of up to $10 to disaster relief funds in their personal tax returns without the requirement for a receipt.
The ATO is providing further support to people in disaster-affected areas by
> fast tracking their tax refunds
> allowing extra time to pay debts
> deferring some lodgement & payment dates
> helping to reconstruct destroyed tax records
